The mother of Sheldon fundraising hero Harry Moseley has announced a gift to the people of Birmingham - its first drop-in cancer centre.
The announcement was made today by Georgina Moseley on what would have been Harry’s 15th birthday.
Georgina said the cancer drop-in centre would be a gift to the people of Birmingham providing much needed support for people who have been struck down by the deadly disease.
Georgina said: “Every vision I come up with for Harry’s charity is about the heartache we have been through, the anger and the lack of support for families who are going through cancer.
"With more and more families we are supporting i thought something needed to change.
"People need help with housing, debt and other financial issues.
"I plucked up the courage to get in touch with the council and I am delighted to say we will now be setting up Birmingham’s first cancer drop-in centre.”
Councillor Ian Ward, deputy leader of Birmingham City Council added: “The council really needs to be helping these people who are suffering from cancer.
"We need to go that extra mile to offer more helpful advice.
"The last thing people who have a child who is suffering from cancer need to think about is the run of the mill stuff like housing and financial things and we will be offering these people our support.”
